Consent for Counseling/Student Support Services
Anser Charter School offers school counseling and social work services through brief, solution-focused counseling and intervention services by the Student Support Specialists.  Intervention services may be individual, small group, or whole classroom.  A new consent form is required annually.

The student support program assists students in developing skills in personal/social development, coping skills, friendship, and conflict resolution.  This added assistance often helps students improve their class performance as well as to support their interpersonal growth.

Contact with your child will be confidential except in the circumstances where the safety of your child or others is believed to be at risk, or where it is otherwise required by law to share information.  Information that may benefit your child will be shared only with school staff to further assist your child in school.  If there are specific concerns or topics that you would like to share in assisting your child, please contact Siler McCraw or Hillard McMorris.

If issues are encountered that require support and guidance beyond what is offered in the school setting, parents will be notified and given community resources. The Student Support Specialists do not make any diagnoses nor treat any conditions.  You will be contacted when, and if, individual services are necessary.  Your child will not automatically begin to receive services by signing this form.
