When a student misbehaves during recess or in specials/electives classes, staff remind the student of expectations and give opportunity for them to try again. If the student persists in exhibiting one or more of the following behaviors:

- Abusive/inappropriate language
- Fighting/physical aggression or inappropriate physical contact
- Overt defiance/disrespect/ rude
- Lying/cheating
- Harassment/recurring teasing/taunting
- Disregard for school expectations / property
- Destruction of property
- Misuse of equipment/property
- Leaving designated area without permission
- Cell phone use during school hours

…the following process will be engaged:
1. Monitoring staff completes a green report slip and delivers it to crew leader.
2. Crew leader emails parents/guardians informing them of the behavior, cc’ing an Administrator & Sarah W.
3. After 3 reports/emails home, the crew leader completes a Student Action Report (green form) that refers the student to an administrator. The SAR will be sent home for reflection with parent/guardian and the student will return the completed form to the administrator the next morning to be admitted to class.
4. If this process repeats 3 times, an Individual Academic/Character Plan will be developed with the student, the parent/guardian, and the crew leader in collaboration with an administrator.
